This easy Strawberry Chia Jam recipe is super quick to make, totally delicious and made with healthier ingredients you can feel great about – a real sweet treat!
Have you guys jumped on the chia jam craze yet? Weβve been on a jam kick over in the HealthNut home, but since store bought jams are so packed full of sugar, I try to avoid them. Well, not anymore!
Why is chia jam so great, you ask?
Lower in sugar – Instead of thickening with tons of sugar like traditional jams, chia jam getsΒ its jelly consistency fromβ¦ you guessed itβ¦ chia seeds! Not only are chia seeds a natural thickener, but theyβre also full of protein and fiber (hello happy poops!)
Quick and easy – You can whip up this delicious jam in minutes and it will last in the fridge for 1-2 weeks in an airtight container. Great for meal prep!
Experiment with fruit flavours – You can try this recipe with other berries such as blueberries, raspberries, or even blackberries! Pick your favourites and mix and match. Just about any juicy fruit will work.
As you can see, there are tons of health benefits compared to the regular jam you find at the grocery store, but the number one reason I love strawberry chia jam is it just tastes ah-ma-zing! Itβs sweet and tart and really allows the fruit to shine. Plus (and this is a big reason to love this jam) your whole kitchen will smell like strawberry candy when you make thisβ¦ win win!

I just made this but with blueberries and I added β΄ cups of blue blueberries instead of the recommended 2 for strawberries because I took out the pulp.. it looks and tast delicious. I can’t help scraping the bowl.
This looks great, and love that itβs healthier!
Question, if using frozen berries, should I reduce the amount of water thatβs called for in the recipe?

This recipe is AMAZING!! It smells delicious while cooking and tastes even better!
How long is it good for in the refrigerator?
Can you blend it before adding the chia to make it a smoother jam??
