Welcome to the world Baby Sage, and official welcome to the HealthNut Blog! Today I am sharing some of my favourite shots from our boho floral newborn photoshoot that we did last week with Ophra from Baby ‘n Bloom Photography.  Oprah is so talented, and I have been admiring her newborn photography for quite awhile now over on Instagram. Throughout my pregnancy I was so excited to book in for newborn shoots, and let me tell you – these did not disappoint! Ophra uses fresh florals to create the most beautiful newborn photos that are unique, bright and so heart warming. But before we hop into the photos, let me first catch you up on baby Sage and new parent life. Since my last motherhood posts here on the blog included my Third Trimester Recap and Boho Floral Nursery Tour, I figure you may need me to fill in some of the gaps. 

Meet Sage Cloe Gonçalves

Born November 8th, 2020⁠ at 1:26 am⁠⠀

Weight 7.18 lbs⁠, Length 51 cm⁠

Words cannot describe how much this little peach has changed our lives forever, from the moment she took her first breath. I will always remember Matt’s first emotional reaction when he first saw her little head come out into the world. Life is magical and creating a human will be our greatest accomplishment. We’ve only had her in our life for 2.5 weeks as I write this post, and every time I stare at her I get teary just thinking how I can’t believe we made her and she came out of my body.

As she lays on my chest and I rub her little bum and back and I can’t help but think that was the same little body I would feel kicking and moving around inside my belly. All those times I just wanted to know what she would look like, how she would smell and how soft her skin would feel. I now get to just soak her up every minute of the day and thank the universe for bringing her into our lives to have a family of our own. 

⁠Sage loves the colour green, skin to skin on daddy, sucking on her hands, kicking her little legs, her milkshakes straight from the tap and getting toe licks from her big sister. Grab a tea and come hangout with us as we introduce Baby Sage to the HealthNut YouTube fam for the first time!
