This simple Portuguese salad is one of our go-to dinner salads. It’s simple greens and vegetables dressed with a delicious vinaigrette, meaning it’s super easy to make!
When I was a child, we grew up eating salads at almost every meal, and this simple Portuguese salad was a go-to. No matter what we were having, it wasn’t a complete meal until someone added a big old bowl of salad to serve at the table. I love that my mom instilled healthy eating habits like salads at a young age. To me, food brings people and a family together. I’m grateful that home cooked meals with the family all together at the table was a nightly occurrence growing up. I hope to have the same routine with Sage as she grows up and we all eat at the dinner table together and connect over delicious healthy food!
A salad is something I actually enjoy eating instead of avoiding (largely thanks to these salad hacks that’ll take your salads from dull to delicious!) This really is such a simple recipe. It’s just a case of throwing your veggies into a bowl and coating with the vinegar dressing. It’s light, leafy and fresh. The perfect traditional accompaniment to whatever meal you’re serving up!
