A vibrant and delicious yogurt fruit & granola bowl that is ready in 5 minutes, and packed with protein, fibre and healthy fats to keep you fuelled throughout the day!
This yogurt breakfast bowl is a treat for both the eyes and taste buds! Topped with both fresh and dried fruit, you can customize this bowl to your liking and have fun decorating! This recipe is for one, but you could increase the serving size if you have a larger crowd. This would make the perfect little breakfast buffet next time you have company over!
This yogurt fruit & granola bowl is sure to keep you fuelled all morning long! It contains lots of protein and healthy fats from the yogurt, ghee, nuts & seeds. If you are sensitive to dairy, sheep’s yogurt is a great alternative as it is easier to digest. While it still contains the protein lactose, sheep yogurt is high in medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs). These healthy fats aid in the absorption of lactose! Or, if you’d prefer a dairy-free option you can opt for coconut yogurt, which is also delicious. The options are endless!
When it comes to breakfast bowls, I think variety is key! With that in mind, I’ve included lots of different toppings here, but you can really customize it to your liking. Feel free to swap out the mango and apple for berries, pomegranate seeds, peaches, cherries, strawberries… or whatever is in season. Speaking of which – I can’t wait for peach season to arrive later this summer!
Another great thing about this yogurt fruit & granola bowl is that it’s not too sweet, and you can adjust to your liking. I’m not a huge fan of really sweet breakfasts, and I like to reduce sugar as much as possible. I like to make homemade granola, using maple syrup or honey to sweeten rather than refined sugar. But this yogurt fruit & granola bowl is also naturally sweet from the dried figs and fresh fruit – so you will only need a little dash of maple syrup in the granola!
This is the perfect breakfast to enjoy on a hot summer day, especially since you won’t even need to turn the oven on to make this easy stovetop granola. Feel free to get creative with your presentation – after all food is art! And this breakfast is totally insta-worthy, so be sure to tag me @healthnutnurition on social media when you share a photo of this drool-worthy breakfast bowl!
