Postpartum Cart Must-Haves

This postpartum cart changed my life! Welcoming a new baby into the world is an exciting time! As moms, we spend a lot of time focusing on the baby’s needs, often forgetting what we need to help recover during our postpartum care. I wish I had this when I birthed for the first time.

Having this the second time around has been the best thing ever! I wanted to ensure I was fully stocked up on everything to make my postpartum experience the best experience.

For help keeping things organized, I used IKEA’s drawer separators called Skubb boxes and IKEA’s Raskog metal cart.

I’m going to break my cart down from top to bottom.

  • Maxi pads
  • Postpartum disposable diapers
  • Baby wipes
  • Sanitized breast pump
  • Earth Momma’s Perineal Spray
  • Magnesium spray
  • Arnica spray
  • Natural hemorrhoid spray (if you know, you know)
  • Earth Mama’s Nipple Butter (You must care for the girls!)
  • HealthNut Lip Balm
  • Frida Mom Perineal Healing Foam
  • Magnesium Balm
  • Hand Sanitizer
  • Water Bottle

Second Shelf

  • Maxi Pad Ice Packs, you can also make your own.
  • Adult Disposable Diapers (Trust me, you need these!)
  • A variety of different pads and flow sizes; depending on the day, the flow could be very different, and you want to be prepared.
  • Frida Mom Cooling wipes
  • Silver nursing cups
  • Hydrogel nipple pads

Bottom Shelf

  • Epson Salts
  • High-rise black cotton underwear
  • Upside Down Peri  Bottle
  • Muscle melt lotion

I cannot recommend this enough, make sure you prep for yourself and not just for baby! Comment below if you have a must-have postpartum item I didn’t list. If you’re looking for more postpartum care reads, please check out
