Hi, my name is Nikole. I’m a self-proclaimed Health Nut and the face behind HealthNut Nutrition.

For the past two years, I’ve been creating recipes and workout plans, writing posts about nutrition and offering my latest tips as a Nutritionist-in-the-making (all while traveling the world). I’m a huge advocate for healthy living and HealthNut Nutrition is my way of teaching and inspiring people like you to do the same.

I guess you could say I’m somewhat of a foodie. From the time I was young, I’ve been passionate about cooking and my fascination with Health Food stores and product labels has definitely turned into a lifestyle. Still, like most people, I grew up not thinking much about how what went into my body affected my mood, behavior and overall wellbeing. But unlike most, it wasn’t until I moved to Toronto for college, that I became more health-conscious. If I had to spend money on food, why not make it healthy?

I learned to budget without spending an arm and a leg, while still eating all the meals I loved most. Better still, with the help of my fitness-savvy boyfriend Matt, I started running, weight training and rock climbing. Eventually, I even joined a running club where I found extra motivation to stay fit and healthy! I graduated college with a bachelor’s in Business Marketing and a year later decided to quit my job and travel the world. I spent almost 2 years living in Australia and Asia, traveling and blogging about healthy living. I am now back home in Canada growing my YouTube channel to share all my favourite recipes, Nutrition tips and other goodies with my fellow health nuts.

Our Mission

HealthNut Nutrition was born out of my love of teaching others and a passion for food, fitness and more. I love the opportunity that YouTube/blogging gives me to not only educate others, but myself as well through the process. On a daily basis, I research new products, experiment with recipes and network with other health nuts across the globe!
