Peppermint Hot Chocolate
A dairy-free, creamy and minty chocolate festive treat for your sweet tooth this season.
- 2 cups soymilk
- 1 cup coconut milk
- 1/2 tsp. peppermint extract
- 6 tbsp. cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- Pinch of sea salt
- Optional: Coconut whip store bought or homemade and crushed candy canes.
In a medium saucepan add in all of the ingredients and bring to a simmer on low-med heat for about 5-10 min until everything is melted together, making sure to whisk occasionally.
Ladle the hot chocolate into your festive mug of choice and top with a good helping of coconut whip and crushed candy canes.
