My Simple Breakfast Muesli

This simple breakfast muesli is the perfect blend of oats, dried fruit, nuts and seeds for the ultimate breakfast in a jar to make overnight oats, cereal, or as a yogurt parfait topper! Made in 10 min with 7 ingredients packed with protein, fibre and omega 3’s to keep you going all morning long.

You’re probably not alone if you’ve never heard of muesli before. I first discovered it while living abroad in Australia! It’s a very popular breakfast option there. They often serve it with fresh fruit, milk and yogurt and it’s delicious. Just picture granola, but not clustered into chunks, and can be made with either toasted or un-toasted oats.

If you peek inside the HealthNut HQ aka my kitchen, you’ll always see a few large mason jars on my counter. They hold ingredients I grab for most often and this breakfast muesli blend always make the cut! I love having it on hand for a quick breakfast. Since I make it all myself, I know the ingredients are good quality and there’s no added sugar or sodium.Β  Most packaged cereals and granolas have way too much sugar and sodium!

No matter how busy my mornings are, I never skip out on breakfast. Without my “brain food” first thing, there’s no way I’d be able to sustain my energy or get everything done!

This breakfast muesli is the answer to your morning food problems if you’re “too busy to eat”! You can either turn it into my Simple Bircher Muesli recipe or add it to some plain yogurt with fresh fruit like berries, peaches or apples for a quick last minute option.

  1. What else can I add instead of the raisins and cranberry’s? not a fan of either… or should i just leave it out?
Sounds super good though. cant wait to try it !!

  2. I haven’t had muesli in a very long time, but I remember sprinkling it on everything–yogurt parfaits, fruit salads, sweet potato boats, oatmeal, and so much more. It’s delicious! Love this recipe and how simple it is!

  3. […] I’m sure everyone has heard of overnight oats by now but have you heard of bircher muesli? Its a version of overnight oats made with muesli which is a mix of rolled oats, dried fruit and nuts./seeds all mixed together or as I like to call an unbaked granola πŸ˜‰ You can find my full recipe for my Simple Muesli recipe HERE.  […]
